Finalists for the 2015 Alberta Book Publishing Awards Announced
Congratulations to all the 2015 Alberta Book Publishing Award finalists! Four Freehand books were recognized this year:
One Hour in Paris: A True Story of Rape and Recovery by Karyn L. Freedman and Detachment: An Adoption Memoir by Maurice Mierau were both shortlisted for the Trade Non-Fiction Book Award.
Boundary Problems by Greg Bechtel was nominated the Trade Fiction Book Award.
Between Clay and Dust by Musharraf Ali Farooqi, with book design by Natalie Olsen (KissCut Design), was nominated for the Book Cover/Jacket Award.
The winners of these awards will be announced at the Alberta Book Publishing Awards Gala on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Fort Edmonton Park, along with the recipients of the Publisher of the Year award, and the Lois Hole Award for Editorial Excellence.
