The friendly folks at All Lit Up featured Dawn Promislow, author of Wan, on their blog the other day!
She’s featured in their “Writer’s Block” column, a column dedicated to exploring how and why writers write.
When asked “What’s the toughest part about being a writer,” Dawn responded: “Well, there are no easy parts to being a writer, and many tough parts! But perhaps the toughest is constantly striving for the form or story or creation that I want, that perhaps I can never achieve to my fullest satisfaction. The ideal of the novel never quite measures up to what I finally write, and this is an excruciating thing to live with. Perhaps every artist feels that way.”
