M. Jay Smith, author of this seasons brand new short story collection Canaloupe! has been featured in All Lit Up’s “Writer’s Block”.
Right now, I’m in the phase where I read writers who have embraced their wackiness and are making it work. I feel like, having been told so many times that I was not making sense or too weird when I was younger, I’m still deleting my zaniness. My goal is to rediscover and reintegrate that weirdness in my work.
