The Puritan and Room Magazine review Sigal Samuel’s The Mystics of Mile End
Both The Puritan and Room Magazine have published reviews of The Mystics of Mile End, by Sigal Samuel.
Sarah Richards, from The Puritan, considers book’s focus on the “the power and implications of language,” and writes that “Samuel demonstrates a deft hand in brave and honest storytelling. Despite being her debut, The Mystics of Mile End is a stunning tour de force, and it reads like the work of a much more experienced novelist.”
In the Room Magazine review, Meghan Ball writes: “The Mystics of Mile End is a smart, compelling, and, at times, magical read—a promising introduction to a young author who might one day be counted among Canada’s finest.”
